Intake Manifold: Installation

NOTE: Steps 1, 2 and 3 are only required if the components were previously removed.

Install the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor.
Torque : 5Nm
Install the wiring harness brackets.
Torque : 7Nm
Install the throttle body assembly. Install a new seal.
Renew Part: Throttle body to intake manifold seal Quantity: 1 .

Torque : 12Nm
CAUTION: Bolts must be tightened in the sequence illustrated.

Install the intake manifold assembly. Install new seals.

Renew Part: Intake manifold seals Quantity: 8 .

Torque : 12Nm
Install the front intake manifold support bracket.
Torque : 12Nm
Install the rear intake manifold support bracket.
Torque : 12Nm
Secure the intake manifold 7. air intake hose.
Connect and secure the glow plug wiring harness.
Secure the coolant hose.
Torque : 7Nm
Install the fuel supply pipe brackets.
Torque : 7Nm
Connect the Emergency Park Release (EPR) cable.
Torque : 7Nm
NOTE: If equipped.

Install the high pressure fuel rail shield.

Torque : 10Nm
Install the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve.
Refer to: HIGH PRESSURE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE
Install the left side secondary bulkhead panel.
Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD LEFT PANEL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Bleed the fuel system.
Refer to: FUEL SYSTEM BLEEDING
Install the engine cover.
