Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).

  2. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  3. Refer to: OIL PAN - AWD (G1895988)  (Removal and Installation).

    Make sure that the crankshaft is in the timed position.

  6. CAUTION: Using a suitable tool, hold the oil pump gear when removing the center bolt.
