- A1: SHOCK ABSORBER FLUID LEAK ASSESSMENT TEST 1 NOTE:
- Residual oil left over from the shock absorber assembly process may create oil staining on the shock absorber tube. This will not affect the function of the shock absorber.
- Slight seepage is considered normal.
- Assess the extent of the fluid leakage
Is the leakage serious enough to indicate that the shock absorber seal has failed?
Yes
GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
No
Shock absorber not faulty. No action necessary
