Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
This procedure contains illustration showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Remove the engine mount to engine bracket nut.
Remove the engine mount to subframe bolts.
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

General Equipment: Two-post lift
Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the engine mount.
Remove the air deflector.
Refer to: Air Deflector (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
Lower the vehicle on the lift to an appropriate working height.
CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.

Using a suitable vehicle jack and wooden block to protect the oil pan, raise the engine off the engine mount.

General Equipment: Trolley jack

Remove the engine mount from the vehicle.
