WARNING:

All vehicles
- Before working on the fuel system make sure to study the fuel system health and safety section of this manual.

- Drain the fuel tank.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

General Equipment: Two-post lift
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.

- Remove the rear driveshaft.

- Remove both the underside areo trims.
- Remove both the underside trim panels.
- Disconnect the fuel filler pipe.
- Remove the heat shield.
- Disconnect the underbody fuel supply line.WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.CAUTION: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
Vehicles with fuel fired heater
- Disconnect the fuel fired heater pump fuel lines.WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.CAUTION: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
- Disconnect the fuel fired heater fuel lines to underbody fuel supply line and release from the body clip.CAUTION:
- Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
- Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
All vehicles
- Using a suitable stand, support the fuel tank and remove the 4 fuel tank retaining bracket bolts.
- Lower the fuel tank to allow access to the fuel pump connections.
- Disconnect the fuel pump and breather pipe.
- Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
- Remove the fuel tank supply line from the fuel tank.NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Vehicles with fuel fired heater
- Remove the fuel fired heater fuel lines from the fuel tank.
All vehicles
- Remove the fuel level sender.
