General Equipment

EQUIPMENT NAME
Hydraulic jib crane
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE:
  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
  • This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
  1. CAUTION: Take care not to damage surrounding components.

    Use a suitable hydraulic jib crane to install the engine assembly.

    General Equipment: Hydraulic jib crane

    Install the engine support bracket.

    Special Tool(s): 303-021

    Install and tighten the engine mounting nut.

    Torque:  60 Nm

    Install and tighten the engine mounting nut.

    Torque:  60 Nm

  5. NOTE: If equipped

    • Reposition the ground cable to the correct position.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque:  10 Nm

    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the special tool.

      Special Tool(s): 303-1435

    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the special tool.

    Special Tool(s): 303-1436

    • Install the bracket.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque:  25 Nm

  9. Raise the vehicle.

    • Reposition the cable to the correct position.
    • Install and tighten the nut.

      Torque:  12 Nm

  11. CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to remove the component.

    Install the cover.

    • Reposition the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor to the correct position.
    • Install and tighten the 3 bolts.

      Torque:  25 Nm

    • Install the wiring harness clip.
    • Connect the electrical connector.

    • Reposition the transmission oil cooler and pipe assembly to the correct position.
    • Install and tighten the nut.

      Torque:  9 Nm

    • Install the transmission oil cooler bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:  9 Nm

    • Install the transmission oil cooler to the bracket.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque:  9 Nm

  16. NOTE: If equipped.

    • Install the trim panel.
    • Install the clip.
    • Install the 3 retainers.
  17. NOTE: If equipped.

    • Install the trim panel.
    • Install the 2 retainers.

    • Reposition the accessory drive belt tensioner.
    • Install the accessory drive belt.
    • Release the accessory drive belt tensioner to tension the accessory drive belt.

    • Install both Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) covers.
    • Install the oil filler cap.

    • Reposition the vacuum pipe assembly to the correct position.
    • Connect the 2 vacuum pipe connectors.
  21. WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.

    • Reposition the 2 fuel lines to the correct position.
    • Connect the 2 fuel line connectors.

    • Install the coolant hose assembly.
    • Connect the 2 coolant hose connectors.
    • Install the coolant hose clamp.
    • Connect the electrical connector.

    • Install the coolant hose.
    • Connect the coolant hose connector.
    • Install the coolant hose clamp.

    • Reposition the 2 coolant hoses to the correct position.
    • Connect the 2 coolant hose connectors.

    • Install the coolant hose assembly.
    • Connect the 4 coolant hose connectors to the charge air cooler.
    • Install the 2 clips.
    • Reposition the lower coolant hose to the correct position.
    • Connect the lower coolant hose connector.

    • Install the coolant hose assembly.
    • Connect the 2 coolant hose connectors.
    • Install the 2 coolant hose clamps.
    • Install the clip.

    • Install the coolant pipe.
    • Connect the 3 coolant pipe connectors.
  28. Install the transmission.

    Refer to: TRANSMISSION - V6 S/C 3.0L PETROL

  29. Install the front right halfshaft.

    Refer to: FRONT HALFSHAFT

  30. Install the front left halfshaft.

    Refer to: FRONT HALFSHAFT

  31. Install the electric cooling fan and shroud.

    Refer to: ELECTRIC COOLING FAN AND SHROUD

  32. Vacuum fill the cooling system.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING

  33. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  34. Install the hood.

    Refer to: HOOD

  35. Check and top-up the engine oil level.

    Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS

  36. Bleed the fuel system.

    Refer to: FUEL SYSTEM BLEEDING
