Instrument Panel (G2218368): Installation

  1. Install and secure the 2 Bluetooth®/WiFi transceivers.
    • Install the defrost vent trim panel.
    • Secure the 3 clips.
    • Install the instrument panel center speaker.
    • Install and tighten the 7 screws.
    • Install and secure the Passive Entry Transceiver module.
  3. CAUTION: Make sure that these components are installed to the noted removal position.
    • Install the instrument panel ducting.
    • Install and tighten the 13 screws.
    • Install the instrument panel ducting manifold.
    • Install and tighten the 4 screws.
  4. CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the Head Up Display (HUD) lens when removing or installing the component.
    • Install the Head Up Display (HUD).
    • Install and tighten the 4 screws.
    • Install the passenger airbag.
    • Install and tighten the 8 nuts.

      Torque: 6Nm 

  6. CAUTION:
    • Make sure the wiring harness and electrical connectors are not damaged during this operation.
    • Make sure that the wiring harnesses are correctly routed.
    • With assistance, install the instrument panel assembly.
    • Position the wiring harness on the noted locations prior to the removal of the component.

    • Install and tighten the 10 screws.
    • Secure the Air Ionizer hose.
    • Connect the 6 electrical connectors.
    • Secure the 3 wiring harness clips.

    • Using a suitable magnetic tool, install the lower bolt.
    • Install the upper retaining bolt.
    • Tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 24Nm 

    • Install and tighten the screw.

      Torque: 4Nm 

    • Connect the 3 electrical connectors.
    • Secure the wiring harness to the instrument panel upper section.
    • Install the instrument panel center speaker grille.
    • Secure the 8 clips.
  10. Install the passenger side face level vent.

    Refer to: PASSENGER SIDE VENT .

  11. Install the Steering Wheel Module (SWM).

    Refer to: STEERING WHEEL MODULE .

  12. Install the glovebox.

    Refer to: GLOVEBOX .

  13. Install the driver side vent.

    Refer to: DRIVER SIDE VENT .

  14. Install the touchscreen.

    Refer to: TOUCHSCREEN .

  15. Install the instrument cluster.

    Refer to: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .

  16. NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.

    Install the A-pillar trim panel.

    Refer to: A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .

  17. Install the floor console.

    Refer to: FLOOR CONSOLE .

  18. Install the front door.

    Refer to: FRONT DOOR .
