The hydraulic brake actuation system consists of:

• The brake pedal
• The Brake Booster Module (BBM)
• The brake master cylinder
• The brake fluid reservoir
• The Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU)
• The brake pipes and hoses.

The brake pipes and hoses are arranged to provide a front/rear split hydraulic system.
