| 5 | Air pipe connection of the front left air spring |
The front valve block controls the air supply and distribution to the front air springs. The front valve block contains 3 solenoid operated valves, 2 corner valves and 1 cross-link valve. The front valve block is located on the right side of the vehicle, below the front of the footwell panel. The front valve block is fixed to the vehicle body with 3 rubber bushes. The front valve block is controlled by the Chassis Control Module (CHCM) on hardwired connections.
Rear Valve Block
| ITEM | DESCRIPTION |
|---|---|
| 1 | Electrical connector |
| 2 | Air pipe connection of the suspension air supply unit |
| 3 | Air pipe connection of the front valve block |
| 4 | Air pipe connection of the rear left air spring |
| 5 | Air pipe connection of the reservoir |
| 6 | Rubber bushes |
| 7 | Air pipe connection of the rear right air spring |
The rear valve block is located adjacent to the rear subframe. The valve block is fixed with 3 rubber bushes to a bracket. The bracket is attached to the vehicle body with 2 nuts.
The rear valve block comprises the following components:
- The 2 corner valves
- The cross-link valve
- The reservoir valve
- The pressure sensor for the air suspension system.
The rear valve block controls the following functions:
- The air supply and distribution to the rear air springs.
- Controls air distribution to and from the air reservoir.
Each of the valve solenoids is individually controlled by the Chassis Control Module (CHCM).
The solenoids have the following resistance values:
| VALVE | RESISTANCE AT 25°C (77°F) ±10% |
|---|---|
| Front corner valves | 6.8 Ω |
| Front and rear cross link valves | 3.0 Ω |
| Rear corner valves and reservoir valve | 3.6 Ω |
