GLOVEBOX (G2202014): Removal

NOTE:
  • This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

    • Open the glovebox.
    • Release the 2 lid check arms.
    • Release the glovebox lid damper cable.
    • Release the 2 glovebox lid lower hinges.
    • Remove the glovebox lid.
  2. CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to remove the component.

    • Release the 4 clips.
    • Release the plastic retainers.
    • Remove the trim panel.

    • Carefully release the 3 clips.
    • Release the plastic retainers.
    • Remove the trim panel.

    1. Release and disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Remove the 9 bolts.
    3. Carefully release each side of the glovebox.
    4. Disconnect the glovebox cooling duct.
    5. Remove the glovebox case starting from the lower end of the component.
  5. NOTE: Only perform the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.

    • Remove the glovebox switch.
    • Remove the 2 screws.
    • Remove the glove box lid damper.
