Transfer Case Rear Output Seal (G2046569): Removal

NOTE:

Raise and support the vehicle using a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
Remove the driveshaft.
Refer to: DRIVESHAFT - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL .

Remove and discard the seal and the nut.

Special Tool(s): 205-053

Using a suitable tool, remove the output flange.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping oil.

Carefully remove and discard the oil seal.

Clean the surfaces using Jaguar approved cleaning fluid.

Clean the seal register and thoroughly inspect for damage.
