Fuel Tank Filler Pipe (G2154468): Removal

WARNING:
Place the vehicle in a well ventilated, quarantined area and arrange ' No Smoking/Petrol Fumes' signs about the vehicle.
CAUTION:
Before disconnecting or removing the components, make sure the area around the joint faces and connections are clean.
NOTE:

- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
Drain the fuel system.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
- Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove the 8 retaining clips and 2 retaining screws.
- Remove the rear right wheel arch liner.
- Release the breather hose from the 5 retaining clips.
- Reposition the breather hose away from the fuel filler pipe.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
Release the fuel pipe from the fuel filler pipe.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
- Release the clamp from the fuel filler pipe.
- Remove the 3 retaining nuts.
- Release 2 retaining clips from the fuel filler pipe.
- Remove the fuel filler pipe.
