Fuel Pump Module (G2469600): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles 

  1. CAUTION: Make sure that the seal is correctly positioned. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
    • Install the new O-ring seal.

      Renew Part: Fuel pump O-ring seal Quantity: 1 . 

    • Connect the fuel line to the fuel pump module.
    • Connect the electrical connector.
    • Install the fuel pump.
  2. NOTE: Make sure the fuel pump module is correctly aligned.

    Install the retaining ring.

    Special Tool(s): 310-123 

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles with fuel fired booster heater 

    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
    • Connect the 2 fuel lines.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

    • Install the fuel pump module access cover.
    • Install and tighten the 5 nuts.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

  3. Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
  4. Position the rear floor carpet into the correct location.
  5. Install the second row right seat.

    Refer to: SEATING (G2502303)

  6. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT (G2623442)

  7. Bleed the fuel system.

    Refer to: FUEL SYSTEM BLEEDING (G1801385)

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles with fuel fired booster heater 

  8. The Fuel Fired Booster Heater (FFBH) must run for 10 minutes in order to remove any trapped gas in the fuel pump and fuel lines.
