Rear Coolant Manifold (G2368733): Removal
WARNING:
Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING (G1853015) .
- Partially drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
- Remove the engine cover.
Refer to: ENGINE COVER - V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL (G2264506) .
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the symposer outlet hose.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Reposition the wiring harness to get access to the rear coolant manifold.
Disconnect the rear coolant manifold right hose.
- Release the coolant hose clip.
- Disconnect the rear coolant manifold left hose.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Release the rear coolant manifold from the coolant pump intake pipe.
- Remove the rear coolant manifold.
- Inspect the O-ring seal. Remove and discard the O-ring seal if damaged or worn.

NOTE: This step is only required if new components are not installed.
Remove and discard the 2 O-ring seals.
