Coolant Pump (G1580410): Installation

  1. CAUTION: Observe correct installation of the coolant pump to oil cooler tube o-ring seals. Failure to do so may result in coolant loss.

    Make sure that the coolant pump to oil cooler tube o-ring seals are correctly installed.

    • Install the new O-ring seals and gasket.

      Renew Part: Oil cooler to water pump O-ring seals  Quantity: 1. 

      Renew Part: Engine coolant pump gasket  Quantity: 1. 

    • Install the coolant pump.

      Torque  : 12 Nm 

  3. CAUTION: Make sure the pipe is seated correctly.

    Install the coolant pump pipe.

  4. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner.

    Torque  : 40 Nm 

  5. CAUTION: Make sure that the accessory drive belt is correctly located on each pulley.

    Install the accessory drive belt.

  6. Install the coolant pump hose.
  7. Install the supercharger belt.

    Refer to: SUPERCHARGER BELT .

  8. Fill the coolant system.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .

  9. Install the engine cover.
  10. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT (G1898506) .
