Front Bumper - V8 S/C 5.0L Petrol (G2263081): Removal

NOTE:

This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
NOTE: Repeat the procedure for the other side.

Remove the front wheels and tires.

Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE - V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL .
NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove the front wheel arch liner.
  Refer to: FRONT WHEEL ARCH LINER - V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL .

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the clip.
CAUTION: Clamp the hose to minimize fluid loss.

Disconnect the washer jet hose.
NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Remove the 4 bolts.

Remove the 8 upper screws and the clips from the front bumper.
NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

- CAUTION: Make sure all cut clips are removed and discarded. The cut clips must not be left in the body.
  
  Using a suitable tool, cut the 7 clips as illustrated.
- CAUTION: Take extra care the front fender is not damaged during the wheel arch moulding removal.
  
  Carefully release the 10 clips.
- Remove the wheel arch moulding.
- Discard the 7 cut clips.
CAUTION: Make sure that the vehicle paintwork is protected.

NOTE: Take extra care when releasing the clips.

With assistance, remove the front bumper.
NOTE:
- Only do the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.

Remove the headlamp washer jet covers.

Remove the 6 screws.

- Release the washer jet hose from the clips.
- Remove the washer hose with the washer jet.

- Remove the 15 screws.
- Remove the front bumper lower grille.

Remove the front bumper insulator foam.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 6 clips.

- Release the 16 clips.

Remove the 4 parking aid sensors.
