Front Armature - V8 S/C 5.0L Petrol (G2263080): Removal

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
With assistance, remove the front bumper.
Refer to: FRONT BUMPER - V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL .
Remove the left air filter housing.
Refer to: the appropriate Intake Air Distribution and Filtering article for the procedure.

- Remove the 4 fasteners.
- Remove the cooling module 2 side panels.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness at 2 clips.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the Adaptive Speed Control Module (ASCM).

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the 2 horn assemblies.

- Remove the 18 screws.
- Remove the engine undershield.

- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the cooling module protector.

- Remove the 4 fasteners.
- Remove the radiator lower panel.

Release the wiring harness at 3 clips.

Release the wiring harness at 2 clips.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

NOTE: If equipped.

- Remove the 5 bolts.
- Release the fuel pipe from the clip.
- Release and secure Fuel Fired Booster Heater (FFBH) assembly.
NOTE:
- Discard the bolts.
- Fuel Fired Booster Heater (FFBH) shown removed for clarity.

Remove the 3 bolts on the left side of the front armature.
NOTE: Discard the bolts.

Remove the 3 bolts on the right side of the front armature.
NOTE: Take extra care when releasing the clips.

- Remove the auxiliary radiator duct.
