Wheel Knuckle (G1899823): Removal
CAUTION:
- To avoid damage to the Constant Velocity joint (CV) or CV boot, do not allow the halfshaft to hang.
- Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
NOTE:
- If a new knuckle is to be installed, a new wheel bearing will be required.
- Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
- Some components shown removed for clarity.
- Before replacing the Wheel Knuckle, make sure to have followed the diagnosis and testing procedure.

- Raise and support the vehicle.

CAUTION: Do not use air or power tools to remove or install the halfshaft nut.
Apply the foot brake and remove and discard the halfshaft nut.

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to remove the component.

- Discard the bolts.
- Do not allow the brake caliper to hang on the brake hose.

WARNING: Using a suitable stand, support the lower arm.CAUTION: Discard the nut and bolt.

CAUTION: Discard the nuts and bolts.

CAUTION: As the halfshaft is still installed extra care must be taken when removing the upper control arm.
Failure to follow this instruction might disassemble or damage the CV or CV boot.
NOTE: Discard the nuts and bolts. -
CAUTION: Take extra care when releasing the halfshaft. Failure to follow this instruction might result in damage to the CV or the CV boot.
