EQUIPMENT NAME
Transmission jack


CAUTION: Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
NOTE:
  • This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.
  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
  • This procedure contains illustrations for right side components, left side components are similar.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: LIFTING

  2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.

    Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE - V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL

    Using the transmission jack support the rear suspension.

    General Equipment: Transmission jack

    • Release the parking brake wiring harness.
    • Release the brake pad wiring harness.

    • Remove and discard the upper control arm nuts and bolts.
    • Remove the upper control arm.

    • Remove the wiring harness brackets.
