Left Engine Mount (G1914828): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles 

1. NOTE: Make sure that the component is installed to the noted position in the removal steps.

   Install the engine mount in the correct position.

2. Install the engine mount bracket and tighten the 4 bolts to the correct torque.

   Torque  : 60 Nm 

3. Install the 2 engine mount retaining bolts and tighten to the correct torque.

   Torque  : 47 Nm 

4. • Install the left engine mount nut finger tight at this stage.
   • Install the ground cable.

     Torque  : 20 Nm 

5. Remove the hydraulic jack from under the vehicle.

   General Equipment: Hydraulic floor jacks (2 tonnes minimum capacity) 

6. Install the vacuum pipe onto the engine mount assembly.
7. Install the thermostat.

   Refer to: THERMOSTAT .

   Loosen the right engine mount nut.

9. Raise the vehicle on the ramp.

    Loosen the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) fasteners.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles with All Wheel Drive (AWD)

    Loosen the transmission mount fasteners.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles with Rear Wheel Drive (RWD)

    Loosen the transmission mount fasteners.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

13. WARNING: Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.

    Loosen the exhaust clamp.

14. Lower the vehicle on the ramp.
15. • To align the exhaust, follow the steps below.
    • Start and stop the engine 4 times.
    • Start the engine.
    • Raise the engine Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) to between 3000 RPM and 4000 RPM - Repeat this 5 times.
    • Stop the engine.
    • Start and stop the engine 5 times.

    Tighten the right engine mount nut.

    Torque  : 60 Nm

    Tighten the left engine mount nut.

    Torque  : 60 Nm 

18. Raise the vehicle on the ramp.

    Vehicles with All Wheel Drive (AWD)

    Tighten the transmission mount fasteners.

    Torque  : 60 Nm 

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles with Rear Wheel Drive (RWD)

    Tighten the transmission mount fasteners.

    Torque  : 60 Nm 

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

21. WARNING: Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.

    Tighten the DPF  fasteners.

    Torque  : 25 Nm

    Tighten the exhaust clamp.

    Torque  : 55 Nm 

23. Install the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/TDV6 3.0L DIESEL/V6 S/C 3.0L PETROL .
