Left Engine Mount (G2498211): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles 

    • Install the engine mount.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 47.5 Nm 

    • Connect the vacuum pipe to the engine mount.
  1. CAUTION: Make sure the engine mount guide pin in the correct position on both side.

    Use the special tool 303-021 to lower the engine until the engine bracket rests on the engine mounts.

  2. Install and tighten the engine mount nut.

    Torque  : 60 Nm 

  3. Remove the engine support bracket.

    Special Tool(s): 303-021 

    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the engine lifting bracket.

      Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1633 

  4. Install the cowl panel.

    Refer to: COWL PANEL

  5. Install the charge air cooler outlet pipe.

    Refer to: CHARGE AIR COOLER OUTLET PIPE (G2749288)

  6. Install the intake air resonator.

    Refer to: INTAKE AIR RESONATOR (G2020091)

  7. Install the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL AJ21/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/INGENIUM I6 3.0L DIESEL/INGENIUM I6 3.0L PETROL

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Plug in hybrid electric vehicles only

    Power up the HV  system. Only technicians qualified to EVAP  level are allowed to perform this procedure. It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the EV  Safety Rules.
