Engine Front Cover - Vehicles With: PHEV (G2756532): Removal

NOTE:

  1. Disconnect the 12V system.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  2. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.

    Refer to: LIFTING

  3. Drain the engine oil.

    Refer to: ENGINE OIL VACUUM DRAINING AND FILLING (G1997675) 

  4. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

    Refer to: CRANKSHAFT PULLEY - VEHICLES WITH: PHEV (G2756530)

    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the Belt Integrated Starter Generator (BISG) tensioner.

    • Remove the bolt.
    • Release the 3 clips.
    • Release the engine coolant pump wiring harness bracket.

    • Remove the 14 bolts.
    • Remove the engine front cover.

    Use a suitable tool to remove the sealant as illustrated.
