Electric Thermostat (G1824678): Removal

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
Drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
Remove the air cleaner pipe connector.
Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE T-CONNECTOR .
Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: LEFT AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .
Remove the air cleaner.
Refer to: LEFT AIR CLEANER .
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

Disconnect the 2 coolant pipes.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

Disconnect the 2 coolant pipes.

Remove the bolt.
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

NOTE: The retaining clips cannot be removed from the pipe.

Release the clips and remove the electric thermostat.
