Right Engine Mount (G2498212): Removal

NOTE:

  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: LIFTING

  2. Remove the cowl panel.

    Refer to: COWL PANEL

    • Install the special tool 303-021 as illustrated.

      Special Tool(s): 303-021 

    • Install the engine lifting bracket.

      Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1633 

    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 40 Nm 

  4. Remove the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL AJ21/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/INGENIUM I6 3.0L DIESEL/INGENIUM I6 3.0L PETROL

    • Release the pipe from the clip.
    • Disconnect the vacuum pipe.

    • Remove the 2 bolts.
    • Remove the heat shield.

    • Remove the engine mount nut.
    • Remove the 2 engine mount bolts.
  8. CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.

    • Use the special tool 303-021 to lift the engine assembly 30 mm.
    • Remove the engine mount.
