Oil Pump (G2046497): Removal

WARNING:
Be prepared to collect escaping oil.
NOTE:

- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT (G2623442) .
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
- Remove the oil pan.
Refer to: OIL PAN - RWD (G2043356) .
- Using the special tool to hold the oil pump sprocket, remove and discard the bolt.
Special Tool(s): 205-053
- Remove the oil pump gear.
- Remove the oil pump chain.
- Using the special tool to hold the oil pump sprocket, remove and discard the bolt.
Disconnect the oil pump electrical connector.
Release the 4 wiring harness retaining clips from the engine.

NOTE: Discard the seal.
Remove the 4 oil pump retaining bolts and the oil pump.
