Cooling Module: Installation

  1. CAUTION: This step must be completed with the assistance of another technician.

    Install the coolant module.

  2. CAUTION: Make sure that the cooling module is supported for this step.
    • Install the right cooling module bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

    Torque: 9 Nm 

  3. CAUTION: Make sure that the cooling module is supported for this step.
    • Install the left cooling module bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

    Torque: 9 Nm 

  4. CAUTION:
    • Lubricate the new seals with clean refrigerant oil.
    • Make sure that new O-ring seals are installed.
    • Lubricate and install the 4 new O-ring seals to the A/C  pipes.

    Renew Part: Air conditioning pipes to condenser O-ring seals  Quantity: 4. 

    • Install the 2 A/C  pipes to the A/C  condenser.
    • Install and tighten the nut and bolt.

    Torque: 20 Nm 

  5. Connect the upper coolant hose to the charge air radiator.
    • Connect the coolant pipe to the radiator.
    • Connect the 2 upper coolant hoses to the radiator.
    • Connect the lower coolant hose to the charge air radiator.
    • Install the coolant hose clip.
    • Install the charge air cooler coolant pump.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

    Torque: 9 Nm 

  8. Connect the electrical connector to the charge air cooler coolant pump.
    • Install the 8 coolant hose clips.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

    Torque: 9 Nm 

    • Connect the 2 lower coolant hoses and secure the clips.
    • Connect the electrical connector and install the wiring harness clip.
  11. Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
    • Install the 2 radiator support brackets.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

    Torque: 9 Nm 

    • Install the dirty air duct and secure the 4 clips.
    • Install the coolant pipe clip.
  14. Install the front bumper.

    Refer to: FRONT BUMPER - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/TDV6 3.0L DIESEL/V6 S/C 3.0L PETROL .

  15. Fill the engine cooling system with the correct amount of coolant fluid.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .

  16. Recharge the A/C  system.

    Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING .

  17. Connect the 12 V system.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
