The hydraulic brake actuation system consists of the following components:

• Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control module with integrated Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU)
• Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM)
• Instrument Cluster (IC)
• Brake pedal with brake pedal switch
• Brake fluid reservoir
• Brake master cylinder and brake booster
• Brake pipes and hoses.

The brake pipes and hoses are arranged to provide a diagonally split hydraulic brake system.
