Instrument Cluster (G2165957): Removal
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- 19MY onward and non-NAS markets only - if a new instrument cluster is to be installed, a new Remote Function Actuator (RFA) may be required. All vehicle keys must be presented to complete the RFA renewal.

NOTE: Only complete this step if a new instrument cluster is to be installed.
Use the Jaguar approved diagnostic equipment to collect information from the instrument cluster.
General Equipment: Jaguar diagnostic equipment

CAUTION: If the software number is K8D2-14C104-AC or L8B2-14C104-AC, a new RFA will be required.NOTE:
- This step is only applicable to 19MY onward vehicles.
- Non-NAS Markets only.
Using the Jaguar diagnostic equipment, read the RFA software number.
General Equipment: Jaguar diagnostic equipment
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
Reposition the steering column to its lowest position.

CAUTION: Use a suitable trim tool.
Release the steering column upper trim.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.
Release the instrument cluster surrounding trim.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the instrument cluster surrounding trim.

CAUTION: Use a suitable trim tool.
- Remove the screw cover.
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Remove the 2 spacers.
- Remove the two screws.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the instrument cluster upper cover.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.
- Release the instrument cluster assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the instrument cluster assembly.
