Daytime Running Lamps: Overview

The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) and side lamps are incorporated into the headlamp assemblies. For additional information, refer to: EXTERIOR LIGHTING .

The signature side lamp Light Emitting Diodes (LED) are used for the DRL function. For DRL operation the side lamps are illuminated at a higher intensity than for side lamp operation.

On Japan, Libya, Syria and Yemen market vehicles, the DRL function is inoperative.
