Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

  1. Raise and support the vehicle using a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: Lifting .

  2. Drain the differential.

    Refer to: Differential Draining and Filling .

  3. Remove the front wheel knuckle.

    Refer to: Wheel Knuckle - AWD .

  4. Disconnect the lower arm from the yoke.
    CAUTION: Discard the nut and bolt.

  5. Remove the yoke.
    CAUTION: Discard the nut and bolt.

  6. Remove the halfshaft.
    CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping oil.

  7. Discard the circlip.
