Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

  1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

  2. Raise and support the vehicle using a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: Lifting .

  3. Remove the air deflector.

    Refer to: Air Deflector .

  4. Remove the right catalytic converter.

    Refer to: Right Catalytic Converter .

  5. Release clips.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter motor.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter motor.

  8. Remove the 2 bolts and the heatshield.

    Torque Specification: 6 Nm 

  9. Remove the lower starter motor bolt.

  10. Remove the upper bolt and remove the starter motor.
    NOTE: The upper bolt will remain captive.
