Gear Position Display - Automatic Transmission Vehicles Only

The gear position is displayed in the left bottom corner of the message center. It shows the current selector position P, R, N, D or S. When the transmission is in manual Dynamic Mode, the display shows the currently selected gear.

The gear position display is controlled by the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The selected gear position is illuminated in response to HS CAN powertrain systems bus messages from the TCM.
