Procedure
CAUTION:
New transmission assemblies are supplied pre-filled with transmission fluid.
NOTE:
- Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
- Some illustrations may show the transmission removed for clarity.

NOTE: Make sure that the torque converter is fully engaged to the transmission.

WARNING:
- This step requires the aid of another technician
- Make sure that the transmission is secured with suitable retaining straps.
CAUTION:- Make sure that the torque converter remains in the transmission.
- Apply grease of the correct specification to the torque converter spigot.
- Remove the 4 cable ties.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
Torque Specification: 48 Nm
Torque Specification: 48 Nm
- If necessary, install new clips.
- Remove and discard the 4 cable ties.
- If necessary, install new clips.
Torque Specification: 15 Nm
Torque Specification: 48 Nm
Remove the jack supporting the transmission.

CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts are installed.NOTE: Make sure that you re-align the driveshaft to the transmission flange using the alignment mark.
Torque Specification: 75 Nm

CAUTION: Make sure that new nuts are installed.
Torque Specification: 48 Nm
Torque Specification: 10 Nm
- Remove the cable tie.
Torque Specification: 11 Nm

CAUTION:
- Make sure that new bolts are installed.
- Only rotate the crankshaft clockwise.
Torque Specification: 63 Nm

CAUTION: Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
Torque Specification: 35 Nm
- If necessary, install new clips.
Torque Specification: 48 Nm

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.CAUTION: Install the new seals.NOTE:
- Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
- Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
Torque Specification: 22 Nm
- If necessary, install new clips.
- If necessary, install new clips.
- Refer to Exhaust System - Vehicles With: Diesel Exhaust Fluid or Exhaust System - Vehicles Without: Diesel Exhaust Fluid (Removal and Installation).

Torque Specification: 48 Nm
- Refer to: Cowl Vent Screen (Installation).

- Reconnect the battery ground cable.
Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).
- Check and top-up the transmission fluid level.
