Combustion Loads

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jaguar XE and 2017 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

While the FFBH is running, the FFBHCM cycles between power load, high or low load combustion and a control idle phase of operation, depending on the temperature of the coolant in the heat exchanger. The heat output level at low load combustion is 2.3 kW. This rises to 5 kW at high load combustion and 5.2 kW at power load combustion. The FFBHCM transmits the amount of fuel used by the FFBH to the BCM/GWM assembly, and the FFBH coolant temperature to the Automatic Temperature Control Module (ATCM).
