Removal And Installation: Removal

CAUTION:
  • Make sure that the wiring harness is not twisted or damaged on removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
  • Take extra care not to damage the wiring harness clips.
NOTE:
  • Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
  • This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
  1. Disconnect the stratup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

  2. Remove the intake air resonator.

    Refer to: Intake Air Resonator .

  3. Remove the intake manifold assembly.

    Refer to: Intake Manifold .

    1. Disconnect the 3 engine harness electrical connectors.
    2. Release the wiring harness retaining clip.
  5. G11311406
    1. Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts.
    3. Carefully release the wiring harness clip.

    1. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    1. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
    2. Release the 2 wiring harness retaining clips.
  8. G11311409
    1. Release the wiring harness retaining clips.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    1. Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
    2. Release the wiring harness retaining clip.
  10. G11311411
    1. Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
    2. Carefully release the wiring harness retaining clip.

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Disconnect the wiring harness retaining clip.
  12. G11311413
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors, and release the wiring harness retaining clips.
  13. G11311414
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors, and release the wiring harness retaining clips.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts.
  14. G11311415
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors, and release the wiring harness retaining clips.
    2. Remove the bolt.
  15. G11311416
    1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness.
  16. CAUTION: Make sure the wiring harness and electrical connectors are not damaged during this operation.
    NOTE: Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.

Remove the engine wiring harness.
