Torque Vectoring By Braking (TVB)
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jaguar XE and 2017 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVB) reduces near-limit under steer of the vehicle during cornering. It does this by braking the inside wheels to increase the yaw moment acting on the vehicle. The engine output torque is increased by the PCM to compensate for the braking effect to maintain vehicle progress. This extends the linear range of the vehicle and increases the maximum cornering capacity. The system monitors the level of under steer by comparing the measured vehicle yaw rate, to a calculated yaw rate target determined from the driver steering input and the vehicle speed.
