Removal And Installation: Removal

- Raise the vehicle on a 2 post ramp.
- Drain the rear differential oil.

- Remove the rear driveshaft.

- Measure the distance between the top surface of the drive pinion nut and the top surface of the drive pinion shaft.
- Accurately scribe a line to mark the drive pinion shaft to the drive pinion nut and pinion flange.
- Using special tool loosen the nut 180 degrees, then tighten back to the mark and note the torque value.
