Tread Act - NAS Only

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jaguar XE and 2017 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Vehicles supplied to the North American markets must comply with the legislation of the Transport Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) act. Part of the requirement of the TREAD act is for the vehicle to display a label, positioned on the driver's side B-pillar, which defines the recommended tire inflation pressure, seating capacity, and the maximum combined weight of the occupants and cargo the vehicle can safely carry. This label is specific to an individual vehicle and it is installed on the production line.

This label must not be removed from the vehicle. The label information only defines the specification of the vehicle as it came off the production line. It does not include dealer or owner fitted accessory wheels and tires of differing size from the original fitment.

NOTE:
  • If tires and wheels of a nonstandard size are fitted to the vehicle, the car configuration file must be updated using a Jaguar-approved diagnostic system.
  • If the label is damaged or removed for body repair, you must replace it with a new label specific to that vehicle. You can order a new label from Jaguar parts. It is printed specifically for the VIN of the vehicle you need.
