Luggage Compartment Lamp

A single luggage compartment lamp is located in the centerline of the parcel shelf.

Power is supplied to illuminate the luggage compartment lamps when the luggage compartment lid is opened and the luggage compartment lid latch ajar switch is operated. The switch supplies a ground signal to the Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM) assembly, which then illuminates the luggage compartment lamp. When the luggage compartment lid is closed the ground signal is removed and the luggage compartment lamp is turned off. The luggage compartment lamp is provided a voltage feed from the power saver relay within the BCM/GWM assembly. The lamps are provided with a power supply until the power saver relay contacts are opened. This prevents excessive battery drain if the luggage compartment lid is left open for a period of time.
