General Procedures

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jaguar XE and 2017 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: Only use calibrated equipment recommended by Jaguar.

All vehicles 

  1. G11308866

    Using Jaguar approved smoke test equipment.

    Vehicles with 2.0L engine 

  2. G11308867

    TORQUE: 3.5 Nm

  3. Install the appropriate adaptor to the air cleaner outlet pipe.
    CAUTION: Make sure that the adaptor is correctly fitted.

    Vehicles with 2.0L diesel engine 

  4. For additional information, refer to: Engine Cover - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel .
  5. G11308869

    TORQUE: 9 Nm

  6. Install the appropriate adaptor to the air cleaner outlet pipe.
    CAUTION: Make sure that the adaptor is correctly fitted.

    Vehicles with 3.0L engine 

  7. NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

    TORQUE: 3.5 Nm

  8. Install the appropriate adaptors to the air cleaner outlet pipes.
    CAUTION: Make sure that the adaptors are correctly fitted.

    Use specific block-off adaptor at one side.

    All vehicles 

  9. NOTE:
    • For further information regarding operation of the test equipment refer to the manufacturers operators manual supplied with the kit.
    • Make sure the smoke test equipment adapter is a good fit to the air cleaner outlet pipe. This must be an air tight seal.
