Software Updates For The INCONTROL™ Apps System

NOTE:

The software update cannot be performed whilst the vehicle is in motion, the software update must be a valid InControl™ Apps version and the USB flash drive must not be removed until prompted to do so
To facilitate a successful software update, it is recommended that the functionality of the USB stick should be confirmed before attempting the update. In addition, it is recommended that any software other than the intended update (including previous versions of InControl™ Apps updates) should be removed from the USB stick before attempting the update

Periodic software updates for the InControl™ Apps system may be uploaded to the telephone interface module via a USB stick connected to the appropriate portable audio interface panel port. Software updates may be downloaded from www.landrover.com or wwww.jaguar.com. To perform the software update process follow the steps detailed below:

Activate the InControl™ Apps system by pressing the InControl™ Apps key displayed on the touch screen

Press the 'Settings' key (found in the bottom left corner of the InControl™ Apps connection screen)

Press the 'Software' key on the settings menu screen, then press the 'Update' key

Connect a USB stick loaded with the software update to the appropriate portable audio interface panel port. Once the system has scanned the USB stick and verified the software update, a 'Next' key will be activated on the touch screen

Press the 'Next' key. At the next screen, confirm that the software update is the correct version, then press the 'Next' key to initiate the software update. A status bar will display the progress of the update

Once the update is complete, remove the USB stick and press the 'Finish' key
