Pinpoint Test M: The 'Vehicle In MOTION' Pop-Up Is Displayed

TEST CONDITIONS
DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS
- M1: CHECK VEHICLE SPEED STATUS
- Ascertain if the car was in motion when the pop-up was displayed?
Was the car was in motion when the pop-up was displayed?
- Yes : GO to M3.
- No : GO to M2.
- M2: CHECK THE CAR CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS
- Using the touch screen controls, navigate to the Diagnostics (1) menu within InControl™ Apps and select the Car Configuration Parameters screen
Do the details shown on the Car Configuration Parameters screen match the actual vehicle?
- Yes : GO to M3.
- No : Reflash the telephone interface module unit with the correct car configuration parameters
- M3: CHECK FOR ANY OTHER VEHICLE IN MOTION STATUS FAULTS OR DTCS
- Check for related faults/DTCs that would imply that the vehicle in motion status is unknown
Are there any other vehicle faults or DTCs that would imply that the vehicle in motion status is unknown?
- Yes : If no speed signal is received, the InControl™ Apps system will assume the vehicle is in motion and it will be impossible to open speed inhibited apps even if the vehicle is actually stationary. Rectify as required
- No : GO to M4.
- M4: CHECK IF THE APP IN USE WHEN THE POP-UP WAS DISPLAYED WAS A SPEED-INHIBITED APP
- Check the nature of the app being used when the pop-up was triggered
Was the app being used at the time the pop-up was displayed a speed-inhibited app?
- Yes : Only certain apps can be accessed/displayed when the vehicle is in motion. Advise the customer accordingly
- No : Check that the latest version of the InControl™ Apps app is installed on the phone. Install latest versions as required
