Pinpoint Test E: There Is Only A Black Screen Shown When Attempting To Access INCONTROL™ Apps

TEST CONDITIONS
DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS
- E1: CHECK THE LVDS CONNECTORS BETWEEN THE TOUCH SCREEN AND THE TIM (1)
- Remove the blue LVDS connector from the touch screen and check for obvious damage to the connector or lead
Is there any damage to the LVDS connector/lead?
- Yes : Replace the LVDS lead between the touch screen and the telephone interface module
- No : Reconnect the blue LVDS connector, then retest. If the fault is rectified, the connector was poorly seated and no further action is required. If the fault persists, then GO to E2.
- E2: CHECK THE LVDS CONNECTORS BETWEEN THE TOUCH SCREEN AND THE TIM (2)
- Remove the brown LVDS connector (Connector 5) from the telephone interface module and check for obvious damage to the connector or lead
Is there any damage to the LVDS connector/lead?
- Yes : Replace the LVDS lead between the touch screen and the telephone interface module
- No : Reconnect the brown LVDS connector, then retest. If the fault is rectified, the connector was poorly seated and no further action is required. If the fault persists, then GO to E3.
- E3: CHECK THE CONTINUITY OF THE LVDS LEAD BETWEEN THE TOUCH SCREEN AND THE TIM
- Using a digital multimeter, check the continuity of the wiring between the corresponding pins of the LVDS connectors at either end of the LVDS lead between the touch screen and the telephone interface module
Were any continuity faults found?
- Yes : Replace the LVDS lead between the touch screen and the telephone interface module
- No : Replace the touch screen. Reconnect the LVDS connector, then retest. If fault persists, replace the telephone interface module
