Brake Caliper - V8 S/C 5.0L Petrol (G2264154): Installation

CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Clean the brake caliper using brake cleaning fluid.
CAUTION: Inspect the component, replace if damaged.

NOTE: Make sure that the components are installed in correct orientation.

Install the anti-rattle spring.

Remove and discard the 2 protective foil on backing plate of brake pads.

Renew Part: Brake pad kit Quantity: 1 .
CAUTION: Make sure that the brake pads are installed in the correct orientation.

NOTE: The arrow on the backing plate of brake pad must face upward.

Install the 2 brake pads.

- Install the brake caliper.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
  Renew Part: Brake caliper carrier bolt(s) Quantity: 2 .
  
  Torque
  
  Stage 1: 110 Nm
  
  Stage 2: 120 °
CAUTION: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted and is correctly routed.

NOTE: Make sure the brake hose is installed in the correct orientation.

- Install the brake hose to the body bracket.
  Renew Part: Brake hose Quantity: 1 .
- Install the clip.
- Connect and tighten the brake pipe union.
  Torque: 15 Nm
- Connect the brake hose to the caliper and tighten the banjo bolt.
  Torque: 32 Nm

Install the 2 retaining pins.
NOTE: The brake pad wear sensor installed on the left side only

- Secure the 2 grommets.
- Connect the brake pad wear sensor to the brake pad.
Bleed the brake system.
Refer to: BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDING .
Install the wheel and tire assembly.
