Brake Vacuum Switch
To make sure that the brake system is never compromised, a brake vacuum switch is installed to monitor vacuum reserves in the brake booster. The brake vacuum switch is mounted in the brake vacuum pipe and hardwired to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
The PCM supplies a 5V reference voltage to the brake vacuum switch and monitors the return signal to determine the vacuum in the brake booster. For additional information, refer to: STARTING SYSTEM INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL or STARTING SYSTEM - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL (G2112745)
