Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel (G2174359): Removal

CAUTION: Use a suitable trim tool.

NOTE: This procedure contains illustrations for left hand drive vehicles, right hand drive vehicles are similar.

Reposition the steering column to its lowest position.

Release the steering column upper trim.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.

Release the instrument cluster surrounding trim.

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the instrument cluster surrounding trim.

Remove the 2 screws.

Remove the 2 screws.

Remove the instrument panel outer trim panel.

Remove the 2 screws.

Remove the floor console rubber mat.

- Remove the 2 screws.
- Release, but do not remove floor console upper trim.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Remove the floor console upper trim.

- Release the instrument panel center trim.
- Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connector.
- Remove the instrument panel center trim.

Remove the screw.

- Release the instrument panel lower trim panel.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Release the diagnostic connector.
- Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel.
