Low Pressure Fuel Pump Assembly : Removal

- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

Remove the second row seat cushion.
Reposition the carpet.
Reposition the access cover.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing components, make sure the area around the joint faces and connections are clean. Plug open connections to prevent contamination.
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
Disconnect the 4 pipes.

NOTE: Note the position of the retaining ring.
Remove the retaining ring.
Special Tool(s): 310-123
Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the 2 pipes.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
Renew Part: Fuel pump O-ring seal Quantity: 1 .
CAUTION: A new O-ring seal is to be installed.-
WARNING: The spilling of fuel is unavoidable during this operation. Make sure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent fire and explosion.CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the fuel tank level sensor float and arm.
Disconnect the pipe.
