Left Exhaust Manifold (G1557021): Installation
The following step(s) applies to:

CAUTION:
- Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
- Make sure the anti-seize compound does not contact the catalyst monitor sensor tip.
- If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new sensor.
- Make sure the catalyst monitor sensor wiring harness is not twisted more than 180 degrees and is not in contact with either the exhaust or driveshaft.
NOTE: If the original sensor is to be installed, apply lubricant meeting specification ESE-M12A4-A to the thread of the sensor.Torque : 45 Nm

NOTE: Install a new gasket.
Special Tool(s): 303-1444-01
Renew Part: Exhaust manifold gasket Quantity: 1 .

NOTE: If a new cylinder head is installed use the special tools in the illustration.
Special Tool(s): 303-1444-02

CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts are installed.NOTE: Install the spacers in the noted position.
Install the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1652
Renew Part: Exhaust manifold bolts Quantity: 1 .
Torque : 10 Nm
Remove the special tool.

Torque : 10 Nm
Remove the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1652
Torque : 18 Nm
Torque
Bolts 6.3 x 13: 3 Nm
Bolt M8: 25 Nm
Torque : 8 Nm

NOTE: Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
Renew Part: Air conditioning pipe to compressor O-ring seal(s) Quantity: 1 .
Torque : 18 Nm
Torque : 25 Nm
