Rain Sensor : Removal

CAUTION:
  • Make sure the ignition is OFF at all times during the replacement procedure.
  • Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.
  • After removal and installation of the rain sensor, wait 10 minutes before the calibration routine is completed. Failure to follow this instruction may result in calibration failure.
NOTE:
  • This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.
  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

The following step(s) applies to: All vehicles

  1. Remove the interior rear view mirror.

    Refer to: INTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR .

    The following step(s) applies to: Vehicles built up to 2014

    Release the retainers.

    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • Remove the rain sensor.

    The following step(s) applies to: Vehicles built 2015 onwards

    Disconnect the electrical connector.

    • Carefully release the clips.
    • Remove the rain sensor.
