Electric Park Brake Release When The Vehicle Has No Electrical Power : Check
WARNING:
Make sure that vehicle wheel chocks are used.
NOTE:
- To perform in the event that the vehicle has no electrical power.
- This procedure must be completed to the components on both sides of the vehicle.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove both rear wheels and tires.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE
Disconnect the park brake actuator.

NOTE: Only perform the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.
- Remove the EPB actuator.
- Remove and discard the seal.
Using a suitable tool, rotate the piston until the parking brake is released.
